[00:00.00] 作曲 : Sander van Dijck[00:00.57]"Always on my mind"[00:01.39][00:02.20]This song came into existence after I got inspired by a piano song Yvette Young wrote[00:07.68]That song was called 'Jolt', it's on her piano EP and I sampled the melody you can hear at the end of that song[00:16.37]I turned this sample into a beat:[00:18.99]A very slow, melancholic beat and it felt very special to me[00:23.97]But I also felt like this beat needed something more[00:26.95]And luckily, James Vincent McMorrow, who I had worked with before on my song 'The Future' was in LA at the time[00:33.38]A few days later, he dropped by the AirBNB for a few hours and I showed him the beat[00:38.63]He liked it and we wrote something together[00:40.95]That day we wrote and recorded the following lyrics:[00:44.08][00:44.48]"I'm suffocated by the signs[00:46.58]Somebody else is on my mind"[00:47.70][00:49.19]But after listening to the song for a couple of weeks, I realised those words didn't really fit the emotion or mood I was going for with the song[00:56.76]So we changed the line:[00:57.96]"Somebody else is on my mind" into: "Somehow you're always on my mind"[01:02.06]Which, to me, fits way more with the feeling of the song[01:06.10]It's a little bit more[01:07.54]It's a little bit sweeter[01:08.72]A little bit, yeah, it feels good[01:11.05][01:12.29]To me the song is about, um...[01:16.98]You know, whether you want it or not,[01:18.99]If you fall in love with someone you can't really escape that feeling[01:22.40]It's something very powerful and it's mind-blowing what it does to your state of mind[01:27.15]And yeah, somehow, she was always always on my mind
